Welcome to the website for the redevelopment of Battersea Park East.
We are pleased to confirm that Wandsworth Council have unanimously approved Taylor Wimpey and Addition Land's proposals to transform the area between Queenstown Road and Battersea Park Stations, creating a vibrant new mixed-use development, including a brand new school building for St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Primary School, new shops, offices and restaurants as well as delivering high quality new homes.
Leading boutique developer Taylor Wimpey Central London, alongside Addition Land, has worked closely with the landowners, Network Rail and The Archdiocese of Southwark, as well as the school governors, to revitalise this area between Battersea Park and Queenstown Road stations.
Public realm and landscaping proposals include a new pedestrian route, linking the two overground stations, the sensitive renovation of the existing listed railway arches and the creation of a new public square. Works to St Mary’s Catholic Primary school - which is the Evening Standard’s flagship school for the ‘Get London Reading Campaign’ – include increasing capacity to a 2 Form entry and a new Early Years centre.
We would like to thank everyone for their support throughout the application period. We remain committed to creating a development that meets the needs of the area and the people who live and work there and will continue to keep local residents informed of progress with our scheme.
